Cremation is still the preferred option for many people.
Whilst we understand that crematoriums can sometimes feel impersonal and intimidating and have a "conveyor belt" reputation, this does not need to be the case. We have experience with all the crematoriums in the West Country and can help you to reclaim this space and create a meaningful and individual ceremony.
Most crematoriums now use the Wesley system which means they have access to most music ever recorded, so we simply order it and they pull it down form the system on the day. Needs to be oredered a couple of days in advance.
It's not possible to put up the prices for each crematorium as they all go up once or twice a year.
Please note there are doctors fees for cremation. At the moment, that is £164.00

Weston Mill Crematorium, Plymouth.
Owned and run by Plymouth city council. Time allowed: half an hour. Both crematoriums have a strong Naval tradition and history. Architecture Victorian gothic, perhaps in need of refurbishment. In terms of price and time allowed, not the best value. Recommended for those with family attachments to Plymouth.
Glynn Valley Crematorium, Bodmin.
Owned and run by Dignity. Each slot is an hour so allowing 15 minutes for people to arrive and leave, that leaves 45 minutes which is fine. This is possibly the nicest crematorium we use. Bose sound system, Wesley music system which means they have access to almost all music recorded. Beautiful floor to ceiling window looking out down a beautiful valley, occasionally a steam train puffs past, and rabbits can be seen hopping about on the grass. Staff helpful and accommodating.
