Based in the South West, we work from Dartington, Totnes and can cover both Devon and Cornwall.
We offer a genuinely unique and immersive approach to organising a funeral. We believe a funeral can be a reflection of a life, as well as an acknowledgement of loss. A good funeral is created with the belief that it honours the person who has died, but it is also for the benefit of the living. We work closely with families to help them choose the right funeral for their own personal, unique circumstances. Done well, it is an important part of the healing process.
The Green Funeral Company has always consisted of just two people. Currently Rupert Callender and Claire Burton. This small, and intimate, personal approach means you know who is answering the phone, collecting the body, meeting with you, carrying the coffin with you and even co-creating the ceremony and holding the space, if you wish us to.

People are as different in death as they are in life. We have experience in arranging funerals that encompass diverse religious and spiritual beliefs, as well as non-religious ceremonies.
That a life fully honoured by recognising all of its complexities, with truth, compassion and insight. We believe in supporting families to choose a funeral that is most in keeping for the person who died.
A funeral is not an event that you turn up to, it is something that we do together as a congregation. This belief applies as much to a ceremony in a church, a crematorium, a field or a wood.
We pride ourselves on working ethically and transparently. Our prices have always been simple, straightforward and available on our website.
