These bamboo coffins are skillfully handcrafted by interlacing strands of dried bamboo, creating an intricately plaited mat which is woven around a strong rattan frame.

Part of the grass family Poaceae, this evergreen perennial is abundant throughout Asia. The stems of bamboo have been recorded to grow up to one meter per day, making bamboo among some of the fastest-growing plants on Earth.

These coffins are available in two differing shapes, curved end and traditional shape. Both styles come with six natural rope handles that are load-bearing.

They are fully fitted with natural linings, pillows and covers. 

If a name plate is required, this is an extra £30. If the coffin needs to be over 6’2″ there is an extra £40 charge.
